As eluded in recent posts, success is a state of the mind.
You envision it, plan it and then undertake it.
Whether your execution is a bust or success, what your brain possesses is a blueprint of a success.
There are many factors that can be raised as reason of failure to achieve success from a perfectly laid out plan.
It could be procrastination, fear, premature execution, improper execution, lack of adequate knowledge on the subject, lack of mentor-ship etc....Truth be told, there is a plethora of those possible causes.
Some of the hindrances are actually inevitable as one may not be aware of them. Actually, its hard to imagine a situation without a single hindrance at all. Something is bound to be a misfit to the jigsaw right?
Yet despite that people are still achieving success in their different fields every given day. So why wouldn't you??
From my experience, what I have learnt is that success is neither a surprise nor a shock. It is only a surprise to those around you. This is because it comes all too sudden for everyone else except to the person who was doing the digging all along.
To the visionary (yourself), success is a process. You ENVISION, PLAN and EXECUTE. Surely the result, success, cannot be a surprise after you have been sweating over the plan for days, weeks, months or years.
Therefore, each individual can devise his/her own route in accordance to his/her preferences, likes or objectives/targets.
Accordingly, success cannot be fed into one's brain by a wave of a magic wand or just a flat mathematical formula.
Everything is a process and today I plan on sharing with you the very basic ingredient of the whole process.
Sometimes its not always hard work that get one to success. Some people have actually achieved success without buckets of sweat and tears. This is attributed to STRATEGY, but that is another topic of discussion altogether.
One thing however that all success is built on and cannot evade is TIME. Yes, as simple as that, Time.
Respect your time first before anything else. The greatest form of discipline is being able to perform tasks at their allocated time. Respect your project likewise and direction becomes much more vivid.
When one says "I'm dedicating myself to this project," it simply means that person is investing their Time into it.
However, many times people abuse the that very same time they are meant to invest. Many times people procrastinate or take the "two birds with one stone" method, AKA "multitasking".
This is purely dilution of attention that was meant to be focused to one particular task.
A week's project can take a month and a month turns to a year. That year is very often referenced as "i could have...." and "if only I had..." Then my favourite, "I actually thought of it at one time.."
Now, time can be broken down into three main parts:
1. Acquisition of relevant information
Do Not ever dive into a project without background information at the least.
2. Learning curves
Success is a process. Every failure, challenge and testing time brings with it a lesson. Lessons bring experience which in turn nurtures expertise.
A challenge or even failure is no reason to quit. Otherwise, literally no one would proceed to do anything.
3. Patience
Remember its a process. It may take a year to create an overnight success story.
Oh...by the way:
PROCRASTINATION IS NOT PATIENCE. Neither is delaying nor dragging feet.
In conclusion...
So there it is. The basic element to the journey of success.
Comment, share and respect your time :)
